Pastry Instructor

About the role

The Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland in Le Bouveret is seeking a dedicated Pastry Instructor to join its faculty. Reporting to the Dean, you will deliver high‑quality pastry and chocolate courses to a multicultural student body, starting 1 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver theory and hands‑on pastry and chocolate classes in line with academy standards and food‑safety regulations.
• Use diverse teaching methods to explain concepts and engage students.
• Assess student performance through observations, written tests and practical assignments, and record grades.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the curriculum.

Required profile

• Professional degree or certificate in Pastry or Culinary Arts.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in a reputable pastry establishment.
• Previous teaching experience in a hospitality or culinary school is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; French is a plus.
• Swiss nationality or valid C, B, L, G permit, or EU/EFTA citizenship.

Required skills

• Advanced pastry and chocolate preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Moderate to advanced computer literacy for delivering course content.
