Private Chef – 2 Michelin Background, Gstaad

About the role

A private chef is sought for a young, dynamic family in Gstaad. The ideal candidate comes from a 2 Michelin restaurant and has experience in private catering for up to 20–25 guests, and is able to adapt to family life and daily household routines.

Key responsibilities

• Daily meal preparation for the family and children, and cooking for staff meals
• Managing private dinners, events and catering for up to 20–25 guests
• Designing creative, refined and seasonal menus
• Working closely with household staff and external service providers, and building a long-term relationship with the family
• Traveling with the family about 2 months in summer and on other trips throughout the year; a valid driving licence and confidence behind the wheel are mandatory

Required profile

• Experience in 2 Michelin restaurants and proven background in private catering and event cooking
• Fluent English (mandatory)
• Highly creative, curious and adventurous, comfortable with family dining, staff meals and events
• Energetic, flexible, positive, team-oriented, discreet and service-driven

Required skills

• Strong mastery of Italian and French cuisine
• Willingness to continuously learn new techniques and cuisines
