Private Chef – Seasonal Assignment, Gstaad

About the role

A family in Gstaad is looking for an experienced Private Chef for a high-level seasonal assignment from the beginning of December to early January. The chef will prepare refined, home-style yet elevated cuisine, with a strong preference for French (Alsacian) or German culinary background. The ideal candidate is discreet, adaptable and experienced in private households with UHNW standards.

Key responsibilities

• Daily preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the principals
• Increased service during the holiday period, including family gatherings
• Menu planning in line with family preferences and dietary requirements
• Coordination with the Butler for service flow
• Kitchen organisation and hygiene management
• Grocery sourcing and supplier coordination
• Flexibility for special requests and festive events

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Private Chef in UHNW households
• Strong background in French (preferably Alsacian) or German cuisine
• Ability to adapt to refined yet family-style service
• Experience cooking for individuals with specific needs; disability awareness is a plus
• Driving licence required (a car can be provided)
• English or German is mandatory
• Discreet, calm, structured and service-oriented
