Registered Nurse – Psychiatric Unit (Merkur)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified registered nurse to join the bilingual Merkur unit of the Fribourg Mental Health Network. The position involves caring for adult patients (18 to 65+ years) in a hospital setting, with a focus on psychiatric care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Merkur psychiatric unit.
• Participate in the development and implementation of modern therapeutic approaches such as acudetox, mindfulness, and therapeutic groups.
• Collaborate with outpatient consultations, day clinics, and psychiatric emergency services on the same site.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of care offerings and support interdisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Graduated nurse with a strong interest in psychiatry.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Commitment to the ethical charter of the RFSM.
• Proficiency in French or German with solid knowledge of the other language (minimum B1+/B2 level).
