Senior Associate – Fintech & Digital Finance

About the role

The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to provide comprehensive legal counsel to national and international clients operating in the fintech and digital finance space. Based in Zurich, the role involves client acquisition, advising on product development, regulatory compliance and representing clients in disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new clients and cross‑sell legal services within the fintech sector.
• Deliver full‑cycle legal advice on fintech product development, payment transactions, crowdfunding, blockchain, crypto‑currencies, data protection and security.
• Draft, review and negotiate partnership, licence and financing agreements.
• Assist clients in meeting regulatory requirements such as CSSF, MSFSA, FMA, CIMA, BaFin and AML/KYC obligations.
• Coordinate due‑diligence, structuring and legal aspects of fintech projects.
• Represent clients before courts and arbitration tribunals.
• Participate in industry events, conferences and contribute to the development of new services.

Required profile

• Swiss bar admission with a first‑class qualification; additional studies in business or financial law are a plus.
• 5–15 years of relevant experience in a law firm, audit firm or corporate legal department within fintech or financial services.
• Fluent, confident written and spoken English and German.
• Strong communication, negotiation and client‑orientation skills.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, resilience and ability to work independently.
