Senior Internal Auditor – Geneva

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our client’s commodities trading business in Geneva. The role will lead and execute operational and compliance audits across the full spectrum of the group’s trading activities, ensuring robust internal controls and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end audit engagements of trading operations, from planning through fieldwork to reporting.
• Assess and review the effectiveness of the internal control framework.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports for senior management.
• Contribute to the development of the annual risk‑based audit plan.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the commodities trading industry within a risk‑focused role such as internal audit, risk or compliance.
• Deep knowledge of physical, shipping and derivatives trading.
• Understanding of commodities trading risks including compliance, market (price, forex, interest) and credit risk.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
