Senior Market Controller – Switzerland

About the role

As a Senior Market Controller for the Swiss market, you will lead the local controllership function and ensure accurate statutory and US GAAP accounting. You will work closely with both local and global finance teams to guarantee compliance with all legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the controllership function covering more than 30 country ledgers.
• Oversee US GAAP accounting, financial close, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations.
• Manage financial closing, consolidation activities, and quarterly/year‑end reporting packages.
• Supervise Procure‑to‑Pay processes, including invoice, payment, travel and expense management.
• Handle intercompany transactions, related reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
• Maintain the internal control framework, SOX documentation, and coordinate internal audits.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors.
• Drive standardisation and simplification initiatives across the finance organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in statutory accounting and US GAAP reporting.
• Proven track record in leading finance teams and managing complex financial processes.
