Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer will join the TC Refine team, an interdisciplinary SCRUM team within NielsenIQ's Media Measurement division. The team focuses on ingesting data from over 50,000 metering devices worldwide and preprocessing it to generate media usage insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux back‑end systems that run 24/7.
• Implement data ingestion pipelines and audio‑matching preprocessing.
• Ensure compliance with corporate security guidelines and data encryption standards.
• Provide third‑level support, including on‑duty service and incident resolution.
• Migrate and orchestrate existing systems in AWS.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast‑changing media environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a SCRUM team on a SAFe train, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork.

Required skills

• Modern C++ and Python development.
• Linux environment and container‑based development.
• Test‑driven development, debugging, and performance analysis.
• CI/CD integration using GitHub.
• AWS cloud services experience.
• REST interface design/implementation with security/authentication.
• Data encryption and security best practices.
