Tax Manager Europe

About the role

This position is a senior tax function within a multinational environment, responsible for advising and managing tax affairs across a portfolio of European countries, including Eastern Europe. The Tax Manager will act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, HR, Business Development and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality tax support and advice to internal stakeholders across the European scope.
• Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Lead corporate income tax compliance in collaboration with shared services and external advisors.
• Manage and defend tax audits, coordinating communication with authorities and internal teams.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks proactively.
• Monitor legislative developments and evaluate business impact.
• Coordinate transfer‑pricing documentation and adjustments with specialist teams.
• Review contracts and transactions from a tax perspective.
• Support tax accounting processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or related field.
• Advanced qualification in Tax, Accounting, Finance or Law preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an international tax role, ideally in pharmaceuticals, life sciences or a Big Four environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations across Europe, including Eastern Europe.
• Solid understanding of tax accounting principles and experience managing tax audits.
• Excellent analytical, research and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English required; German advantageous.
• Availability to start on 13 July 2026.
