UAV Avionics and Systems Engineer

About the role

You will design and develop cutting‑edge UAV systems, defining hardware architecture, creating system and wiring diagrams, and ensuring regulatory compliance for high‑performance, hydrogen‑powered UAVs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design airframes, propulsion, avionics and payloads using CAD (Siemens NX).
• Create detailed system and wiring diagrams to support integration and troubleshooting.
• Define hardware architecture and ensure seamless interoperability of components.
• Support assembly teams, verify compliance during integration, and resolve technical issues.
• Develop work instructions, test plans and conduct system‑level testing, including functional and environmental tests.
• Prepare flight approval documentation and liaise with regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Proven experience in UAV systems engineering, hardware architecture and system integration, preferably in aerospace or defence.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (EASA) and experience writing SORAs.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software, specifically Siemens NX.
• Strong knowledge of UAV avionics, sensors, power distribution and signal routing.
• Experience in system integration, assembly support and test validation.
• Understanding of aerospace regulatory standards and flight approval processes.
