Artwork Creation Manager (m/f/d) – Pharma Packaging

About the role

An Artwork Creation Manager is needed in Basel for a 12-month position starting 01.01.2027 (latest possible start 01.02.2027), working 100% onsite with 40% home office on Monday and Friday. The role covers end-to-end PDF creation, template management and proofreading of printed packaging materials according to GMP guidelines and company style guides, and acts as the central point of contact for external service providers, CMOs and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Create PDFs for printed packaging materials (PPM) from manuscripts, annotated predecessor PDFs and technical drawings, including folding boxes, foils, labels and leaflets, and create new PDFs for launches and line extensions
• Create and edit graphical templates and die cuts, and maintain tables and graphic standards for print templates
• Collaborate closely with the Product Configuration Manager on timely delivery and proactive handling of delays
• Act as SPOC for external artwork providers and internal and external packaging sites via CMOs, manage file uploads to the PDF library and create content sheets in WebCenter
• Create, maintain and document text macros in the Text DB or scripts in Chili, and archive task data (GMP/non-GMP)
• Finalize goods for printing, provide printing data to suppliers, complete GMP checklists and maintain country-specific specifications and graphic documentation
• Support complaint management by editing unplanned events in the QMS and stay compliant with GMP and company style guide
• Manage regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement; proofread artwork against country requirements and technical site needs

Required profile

• Digital and Print Media Designer, Graphic Designer or qualification in Labeling & Artwork Management (or related field)
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in pharma or a service provider environment
• GMP experience required
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a nice-to-have
