Associate – People in Deals (Due Diligence, Carve‑outs & Reorg)

About the role

The People in Deals team at PwC supports corporate and private‑equity clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, focusing on the people‑related implications of acquisitions, disposals, carve‑outs and reorganisations. As an Associate you will work on M&A and strategy projects in Switzerland and internationally, contributing to due‑diligence, operating‑model design and post‑deal implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct HR and pensions due‑diligence, review workforce data, identify risks and opportunities, and assess their impact on transactions.
• Develop and deliver day‑1 and day‑100 integration plans, change‑management communications and organisational‑design solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Deals, Corporate Tax, Legal and Reward to provide integrated solutions.
• Support business development activities such as proposals, thought‑leadership pieces and training sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Law or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with confidence handling financial and workforce data.
• Excellent English and German language skills; French and/or Italian are a plus.
• Collaborative, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, international environment.
