Individual Contractor – Water & Health Protocol Support

About the role

The Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) seeks an Individual Contractor to support the Protocol on Water and Health. Working from the Palais des Nations in Geneva, you will contribute to the preparation and delivery of high‑quality technical outputs for intergovernmental meetings and workshops scheduled for 2026‑2028.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise documentation on climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and emergency response for water and sanitation systems.
• Support the development of concept notes, substantive documents, and correspondence for the 15th meeting of the Task Force on Target Setting and Reporting.
• Assist the Co‑Secretary and Associate Environmental Affairs Officer in coordinating intergovernmental bodies under the Protocol.
• Contribute to capacity‑building activities, technical workshops, and the production of technical documents.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are submitted on time, following the joint secretariat’s guidance.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background or professional experience in water resources, environmental health, or related fields.
• Familiarity with international protocols and intergovernmental processes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
