Senior Custom Design Engineer

About the role

Join an innovative team in Zürich to design and deliver high‑performance, low‑power SRAM and custom‑digital sub‑systems for cutting‑edge compute‑in‑memory technology. You will be involved in architecture, circuit implementation, verification, and silicon correlation on advanced nodes, including sub‑5 nm technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and verify embedded SRAM or custom digital blocks such as caches, register files, datapaths and related interfaces.
• Optimize performance, power and area on advanced FinFET nodes, handling variation, stability closure, corner and Monte Carlo simulations, and power reduction.
• Define digital boundaries and timing budgets for seamless integration in a digital‑on‑top flow.
• Plan and execute silicon correlation, including bring‑up, characterization benches, ATE data analysis and errata resolution.
• Collaborate with layout teams on floorplanning, guarding, shielding, routing topology and resolve EM/IR issues.
• Enhance methodologies via scripting for characterization, regression and reporting using Python or Tcl, and contribute to specifications and reusable collateral.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in custom digital, analog or SRAM design.
• Proven ownership of complete design cycles for sub‑blocks.
• Strong expertise in high‑performance, low‑power circuit design on FinFET nodes, including bitcell stability and periphery trade‑offs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to define clear interfaces across teams.
• Self‑directed, organized and delivery‑oriented work approach.
