Sustainable Public Procurement Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant to design and deliver a short training programme on Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) for public officials in Guatemala. The assignment is remote, lasts three months, and aims to build institutional capacity through practical, context‑specific learning modules.

Key responsibilities

• Review UNEP/PAGE resources, existing SPP instruments and Guatemalan procurement documentation.
• Develop a concise training curriculum comprising three sessions, including tailored training materials.
• Deliver the training programme virtually to Guatemalan public officials.
• Collect participant feedback and synthesize lessons learned.
• Produce a final report with recommendations for advancing SPP in Guatemala.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sustainable public procurement or related environmental policy fields.
• Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate training programmes for government audiences.
• Familiarity with the Guatemalan institutional and procurement context is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
