About the role
This position is responsible for driving supplier sustainability performance across the company’s cocoa supply chain. It links sustainability outcomes with commercial decisions, ensuring human rights and environmental due diligence are embedded throughout sourcing activities.
Key responsibilities
- Influence supplier allocation, contracting strategy and performance management, integrating long‑term relationship models that align commercial and sustainability goals.
- Implement and oversee human rights and environmental due diligence frameworks, leading risk identification, mitigation tracking and continuous improvement at supplier level.
- Design and continuously improve supplier programs and partner models, ensuring consistency across origins and contributing to partner selection and contracting approaches.
- Lead a multi‑disciplinary team, setting priorities, allocating resources and developing capabilities to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Develop new supplier and partner models in emerging cocoa origins such as Ecuador and Brazil, including early‑stage program design and implementation.
- Ensure integrity of supplier data inputs, collaborate with data, learning and assurance functions, and support audit‑ready reporting and insight‑driven decision making.
Required profile
- University degree (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred) in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience managing sustainability, human rights, or environmental due diligence within a cocoa or broader agricultural supply chain.
- Proven ability to influence commercial decisions and integrate sustainability considerations into supplier contracts.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional teams and experience scaling programs across multiple origins.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of sustainability standards, human rights and environmental due diligence frameworks.
- Experience with supplier performance management and long‑term relationship models.
- Ability to work with data governance, reporting and assurance processes.
