Traction System Team Leader (80-100%)

About the role

Lead a team of eight traction system engineers in Zürich, shaping next‑generation railway traction systems with a focus on performance, innovation and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team members, onboard new talent and plan resource allocation for projects.
• Lead the People Management Cycle, including development planning, objective setting and performance assessments.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and ensure application of standard processes, methodologies and tools.
• Provide technical and process expertise to support project execution and drive system performance, energy efficiency and compatibility.

Required profile

• Engineer degree (HF, FH or higher) in Electrical engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in traction systems and at least 3 years in team/project management.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills, structured solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in German and English for technical discussions.
